1. Device & Environment Overview
Report Schema: coinminers-device-check-1.0
2. CPU Multi-Worker Performance & Scaling
WebCrypto API SHA-256 (3 separate 5-second sampling rounds per worker tier)
| Worker Threads | Median Throughput | Variation (CV) | Runs |
|---|
Efficiency reflects parallel scaling relative to 1 Worker baseline. Sub-linear scaling is expected due to shared L3 cache and thermal throttling limits.
3. GPU Compute Pipeline & Reference Audit
WebGPU WGSL xorshift compute invocations with full buffer readback
4. Understanding Your Results
Here is what these diagnostic scores actually tell you about your hardware:
What does the CPU score represent?
It measures how many standard WebCrypto SHA-256 hash operations your browser can execute per second across worker threads. Low variation (CV < 5%) indicates steady thermal dissipation without aggressive frequency throttling.
What does the GPU score represent?
It measures WGSL compute shader invocations and buffer transfer latency. The triple CPU checksum PASS confirms that compute shaders completed with mathematical precision.
Why can't scores directly compare?
CPU WebCrypto ops/s and GPU invocations/s measure fundamentally different instruction pipelines and memory buses. They cannot be summed together or converted to a single synthetic score.
Why is a native client required for mining?
Real proof-of-work algorithms (e.g. RandomX, KawPow) require direct access to L3 CPU cache or dedicated VRAM DAGs, which are inaccessible within a secure browser sandbox.
